On this edition of Dan’s (Toku) Rants, Gemma (MagiBlue2), Dante (TheNewGuy), Shamus (RiderJetFire), Anthony (GokaiKnight), and I discuss “Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie”. It’s the better of the two PR movies, but it still has some problems. It’s a lot of fun and we have a good time with it, discussing “Race to the Volcano”, all of the cuts, the behind the scenes stories, and so much more.
This is also Gemma’s last cast before she heads off to Japan for three weeks so Arigatou Gemma and anzen na huraito wo!

Just wanted to say, Carranger is a great show if you give it a chance. It’s a parody(hence the instruction manual), and it is actually funny most of the time(unlike turbo.) Would be nice if you people would actually watch the show as opposed to basing a opinion off pictures. I don’t care about PR(not the same as hate), but if saban wants to build his own cockpit, I agree he should have used it. Just don’t expect me to cry when elements from the sentai don’t fit in with what saban wants. Toei has zero commitment to do anything to accommodate PR, and just sells the footage for extra cash.
PS-one other thing, the sometimes ugly visual elements in carranger can mostly be blamed on the budget, with toei suffering from the failure of ohranger(which they did spend a lot on). But the writers had no control over that, and it remains a very well-written comedy. To me, its a double standard. You have no issues giving PR every excuse on the visuals and judging it on the writing, action, etc. But sentai to you will always be judged by its visuals and that alone. Since, to you, sentai should be a stock footage machine for PR and has not right to do its own thing. And I don’t agree, sorry.
Satou Rika’s actually Pink, not Yellow. ^^;; Yellow is Niwa Mikiho from the idol group Canary Club.I’m ttloaly looking forward to this series, I like both the girls already, and Blue and Black were previously in the Prince of Tennis musicals, which I love. Hamao Kyousuke/Black is one of my favorite actors <333 I've watched this trailer a billion times already and I'm still not tired of it, Mao and Mikki in the Black + Yellow shot are so pretty!
Just to follow-up on your Last Airbender reveiw, some of the CGI scenes were sooooo bad you could tell that the actors were sitting in front of a bluescreen. They were looking around like they were trying to figure out what was supposed to be there but really had no clue. Plus the acting was pretty bad too
